Life

Life is boring when you're home all day all alone recovering from surgery. Mom gets up and goes to work. Dad gets up and goes to work. Tyson sleeps in and then takes off to have a social life - then when school starts he gets up and goes to school all day. Chelsee... well... she just sits at home because with a big old cast on her leg she can't drive.

Does anyone feel sorry for me????

Surgery

So - here's what happens when you come home from college and you only have a few weeks before you leave on your mission. You have to cram everything into that short amount of time... including having surgery to fix your heel!

Here's what it all looks like... this is the back of my heel with all of the stitches in it. Advice for the day... grocery carts rammed into the back of the foot can cause damage so be careful!!!

Went to my dad's work party and one of his co-worker's son's was there with his foot in a cast as well. Pat Trueler and I went to high school together so it was fun to see him. We received all of the sympathy for the night.

Spirit Week and such!

HOLY COW!!! I have had one of the most amazing weeks of my life. I haven't had a week this busy since Chicago last summer! I just finished Spirit Week and I am so glad that the stress is gone but I am SO SAD that the week is over. I learned an incredible amount of hard work, dedication, love, trust, friendship, faith..... and so on and so forth. I was able to push myself and I found a new strength within myself.
The Luncheon was a hit! While planning the Luncheon, I saw things in myself that I had no idea existed. Even aside from the luncheon, helping with set up and take down and volunteering during events, I was able to learn so much about myself.
The blessings that flow from being a part of SSE are innumerable. The Spirit was eminent in Everything that we did. In fact, I know I was being watched over when I was hanging out in the pens with the steers! Yup, I'm a genius! But seriously, I don't think I have ever felt the Spirit as strongly in my life as I did this past week. I couldn't think of a more incredible way to prepare for my mission! I also don't think I have ever prayed so much in my life! Every time I turned around, I found myself on my knees.
So, my mission call has FINALLY been mailed and I will be opening it on the 6th! Wooooohoooooo! Oh my, isn't it so cool that I have been assigned a call already??? And... that President Monson was looking at MY information yesterday and approved MY call! Wow, I can't even explain the feeling!
So, that is my life up to this point! Exciting eh?
